Responsibilities
• Review all Administrative Segregation placement referrals, authorizations, and approvals• Chair and facilitate custody facility FRMT/MDT meetings• Monitor and track incarcerated individuals in segregation• Communicate and schedule classification counselors for FRMT/MDT meetings• Conduct weekly tier walks and respond to written correspondence• Review custody facility plans and forward them• Complete cell front checks required for Administrative Segregation• Track and audit incarcerated individuals assigned to SCCC Administrative Segregation• Work with unit staff and other sections of the facility to resolve incarcerated individual problems• Perform other duties as required and provide relief to other positions as assigned
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree• 3 years of professional experience in corrections or a related field• Correction experience dealing directly with incarcerated individuals• Additional qualifying experience can substitute for up to 2 years of education• Desired: 2 years' experience as a Classification Counselor or Community Corrections Officer• Desired: Experience conducting audits or investigations• Demonstrated competency in various areas• Special requirements/conditions of employment
