JOB SUMMARY The School of Computing is seeking dynamic and team-oriented candidates for a full-time Administrative Program Support 2 position. The successful candidate will be open-minded, collaborative, and flexible in addressing the needs of a growing School with diverse objectives. Reporting to the School's Associate Director, the Administrative Program Support 2 position requires an individual with both fiscal and administrative abilities. The candidate is expected to work independently, within the defined guidelines established by the program and the supervisor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include but are not limited to:
Provides school support on a wide range of fiscal, administrative, and operational matters including immigration paperwork. Assists with human resource and payroll-related functions of school personnel (faculty, staff, student workers, special payroll employees, and graduate assistants). Compiles and maintains resource materials and program information. Manages internal communications to faculty, graduate students, and staff. Assists with the financial operations of the School, including purchasing, accounts payable, HuskyBuy, and Concur, as well as supporting the monitoring and reporting of revenues and expenditures on school and foundation financial accounts. Assists in communications/marketing for the School and its programs, including the School's social media accounts and website. Assists in the preparation of ad hoc reports as appropriate to meet federal, state, University, and school requirements. Review records and transactions for accuracy, reconcile differences, and work with other staff and university officers to identify errors and make corrections. Act as a resource for information and procedures in assigned areas. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of financial or accounting practices and procedures. Demonstrated ability to work independently with the ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively. Demonstrated excellence with written professional communications across multiple media platforms (social media, newsletter, website content, internal and external communications, etc.). Proficient in the use of all MS Office applications. Excellent attention to detail, communication, organization, written and interpersonal skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in higher education. Demonstrated experience providing organizational support in a team environment.  Experience working in a fast-paced, complex, multi-faceted office environment. Familiarity with enterprise systems such as Kuali Financial Systems, Core-CT, HuskyBuy, and PeopleSoft. Ability to expertly manage time and deadlines, and juggle multiple competing priorities. APPOINTMENT TERMS This is a full-time, permanent position. Salary will be commensurate with candidate's background and experience.
