Department Name: 7H0R1: COM Office of Research
Job Summary: The College of Medicine Office of Research is seeking a highly-skilled and customer-service focused Administrative Operations Coordinator to assist with day-to-day functions and provide support to the team. This individual will manage activities and projects for the Office of Research, and provide high-level professional support including managing meetings and calendars, creating CONCUR travel and expense reports, processing financial documents, preparing Microsoft Excel reports and Power Point presentations, and assisting with daily operations. The position requires attention to detail and exceptional administrative judgement.  
The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. The position provides an opportunity to create and improve processes to streamline the workflow in a fast-paced environment while assisting the team to strengthen the research infrastructure.  Reporting to the Associate Dean for Research Administration, the position will perform a wide variety of duties and administrative tasks, and will have frequent interaction with faculty, staff and students, as well as with senior administrative leadership for the University and College. Previous experience in research and academia is preferred.  
Skills /Knowledge/Abilities: The successful candidate will have the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, exceptional customer service, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a high level of attention to detail. Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is important including creating spreadsheets and presentations. Experience with systems such as Concur, SAP , and REDCap (research) preferred. Position Time Status: Full-Time

Required Related Experience: 2 yrs
Required License/Registration/Certification : None
Preferred Education/Experience: Experience in administrative support of research and/or grant-related activities strongly preferred. Experience with systems such as Concur, SAP , and REDCap (research) preferred.
