EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS MANDATORY Bachelor's degree SECURITY CLEARANCE SECRET WORK EXPERIENCE MANDATORY The contractor must have good communication and organizational skills, the ability to deliver highest quality work under pressure, and knowledge of software used by the USAO (or the ability to acquire knowledge about the USAO's computer systems).This position requires 7 (or 10) year minimum background investigation. Contractor employee assigned to work within this office will be required to have a favorably completed "sensitive: security clearance." All security clearances will be completed and submitted and approved in accordance with proper Department of Justice guidelines
WORK EXPERIENCE NICE TO HAVE Prior Agency Experience ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Receives visitors and telephone callers for the USA, FAUSA, and EAUSA. Furnishes requested information concerning pending and closed matters, functions, and general procedures of the office. Determines which matters should be referred to the USA, FAUSA, and EAUSA, whether the immediacy of the call warrants interruption of the U.S. Attorney or revision of previously established plans and priorities. Establishes and maintains a variety of files for the USA, FAUSA, and EAUSA. Establishes current working files and maintains working file indices with proper cross indices for reference. Separates, screens, selects, assembles, and organizes files and records materials. Maintains calendars for the USA, FAUSA, and EAUSA. Tracks dates and schedules conferences and meetings as necessary. Arranges conferences and meetings for the USA, FAUSA, and EAUSA. This includes preparing agenda, notifying participants, and arranging meetings. Attends meetings and conferences to record, summarize, and distribute minutes. Develops and maintains suspense system for ongoing issues and projects and informs the staff of pending dates and deadlines. Maintains calendar(s) of the staff, schedules appointments, interviews, and conferences, and provides reminders of commitments. Reads, screens, and controls incoming mail. Independently deals with those matters addressed to the USA, FAUSA, and EAUSA that do not require his/her personal attention by referring such to appropriate staff members, or personally performing the work needed to resolve the matter. Coordinates and participates in selected events, conferences, trainings, meetings, etc. as directed by USA, FAUSA, or EAUSA and in conjunction with the Public Affairs Officer. Prepares written material for dissemination and publication. Arranges travel for the USA, FAUSA, and EAUSA by preparing itineraries, securing transportation and hotel reservations, and preparing automated travel authorizations and vouchers. Prepares special or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant information from a variety of sources such as reports, documents, correspondence, other offices, etc., under general directions. Anticipates and prepares materials needed by the USA, FAUSA, and EAUSA for conferences, meetings, correspondence, appointments, telephone calls, etc. Maintains an accurate telephone listing of contact information from various departments and agencies. Obtains contact information from various sources.
