The Administrative Assistant position provides high quality administrative support to Clinical Nursing Director and Nurse Supervisor within Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate meetings• Manage calendars• Type required documents• Reconcile budgets and process journal entries• Order supplies using purchase orders/shortcodes• Plan and process travel and conference registrations• Process tuition reimbursements• Advise management on trends, concerns, and suggested measures for improvement• Exhibit exemplary customer relation skills• Maintain Static Groups and B1 Finance/DataMart groups• Post, monitor, and hire new employees through eRecruit• Train employees in new or revised work methods and procedures• Develop, maintain, and adjust schedules and personnel paperwork• Enter and reconcile payroll and personnel related work• Perform project work, workgroups, and maintain personnel/staffing reports• Maintain employee records in accordance with HR and UMHS policies
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent• More than 4 years of experience performing responsible office duties• Excellent verbal/written communication skills• Ability to work independently and cooperatively• Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner• Exceptional tracking and follow-up skills with attention to detail• Ability to multitask in an environment of shifting priorities with accuracy• Two to three years of experience with OneStaff• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Excel• Proficiency with MPathways• Knowledge of eRecruit, UMHS/UMPNC/MNA contracts, and AFSCME Local 1583 contract• Knowledge of UMHS policies and procedures• Associate or higher degree in business, human resources, or related field
