To serve as an instructor for the Paramedicine degreeprogram. Continuous assignment based on program need and funding availability. Essential Job Functions:
Knowledge in EMS agency operations, management, and leadership functions.
Ability to update curriculum to meet changing trends in the Paramedicine field.
Ability to present material in the traditional or online classroom environment.
Ability to conduct formative and summative assessment of student learning.
Ability to create and maintain a positive learning environment, displaying and requiring professionalism in all classroom activities.
Ability to work collaboratively with EMS agency representatives on meeting program goals and learning outcomes.
Function under the direction of the Paramedicine Program Director.
Prepare lab for classes, help dismantle and clean up after lab activities.
Function as a lab instructor during class labs.
Demonstrates the safe and proper use of lab equipment and hazardous or bio hazardous materials.
Provide leadership and positive role modeling for students.
Attend annual program meeting.
Participate in the assessment of student learning annual report.
Maintain student and course records.
Maintain and file current course outlines, objectives and grading procedures for all courses.
Exhibit innovative and adaptive instructional methods.
Provide continuing education experiences for the community.
Completes all mandatory training.

Work Experience
Minimum of 3 years field experience with an EMS agency as a paramedic.
Certifications:
Current National Registry of EMTs certification as a ParamedicCurrent Oklahoma Paramedic licenseAHA BLS Provider AHA ACLS ProviderAHA PALS/PEPP Provider Knowledge,Skills, and Abilities: Ability to educate and assist students with learning of the various skills necessary for Paramedicine education.

Demonstrated knowledge of office technologies including but not limited to: office computers, fax machines, scanners, internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Demonstrated history of ethical and professional behavior. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree.
AHA BLS Instructor.
AHA ACLS Instructor.
AHA PALS/PEPP Instructor.
PHTLS Provider.
Previous teaching experience or field training.
Experience in education technology, simulation technology, or related area.
Familiarity with Emergency Medical Responder, Emergency Medical Technician, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician, and Paramedic registry skill and practices. Working Conditions: Must be able to work flexible hours to include some nights and weekends. Work will be performed in an office environment with a significant amount of public contact, in person, by telephone, via email, and various communication platforms. Physical Requirements: Duties require extended periods of sitting, standing, talking, listening and computer usage.
Instructor will perform duties inside structures or in laboratory simulations.
Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting up to 75 lbs. unassisted, bending, standing, climbing or walking. (Any items weighting more than 45 lbs. must be team lifted per OSU safety regulations.).
Must be able to handle and safely dispose of solutions and any hazardous materials wearing appropriate PPE.
