Job Description
We're seeking an Actuary who excels in their craft to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll collaborate with top-tier professionals to further elevate your skills and expertise.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the growth and profitability of our rental property insurance products nationwide.
- Enhance pricing strategies for existing products.
- Expand our product offerings into new geographical markets.
- Analyze key profitability drivers such as loss ratios, actuarial indications, and frequency/severity trends.
- Manage rate filings across multiple states to ensure competitive pricing.
- Develop and execute data-driven action plans to continually enhance performance.
- Foster innovation by exploring alternative pricing methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: You have a proven track record of at least five years in the insurance industry, with a focus on property products (preferably personal lines - HO or DP). Familiarity with the current US property market is essential.
- Education: You hold credentials as an actuary (ACAS or ASA).
- Builder Mentality: You possess a proactive mindset and can shepherd projects from inception to fruition. You thrive on taking initiative.
- Digital Proficiency: Your technical acumen is exceptional, with a keen ability to grasp and implement new technologies and processes. Strong analytical skills are a must.
- Ambition: You're eager to join a dynamic tech company in its early stages, ready to dive in and contribute beyond the typical 9-5 role.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $140k - $180k plus equity in the company.

We have offices in Austin, TX, and Overland Park, KS (Kansas City Metro). Preference will be given to local candidates or those willing to relocate, with relocation assistance available.
