Responsibilities
• Maintain Actuarial experience studies. Improve efficiency and expand functionality• Compile and compute quantitative data for statistical analysis used in calculating valuation, risk, and loss• Make recommendations to minimize or offset risk• Identify and implement process improvement throughout all actuarial functional areas• Provide support as needed to actuarial staff. Ensure a general understanding of why the support is needed and what the end goal is.• Fundamental understanding of actuarial model including inputs and calculations therein. Effective utilization of model and ability to make changes.
Requirements
• Strong mathematical skills• Problem solving skills• Knowledge of life insurance industry and practices• Strong oral communication skills• Knowledge of database platforms and programming languages• Knowledge of products and administration system• 4 year degree
