Responsibilities Complete assessments and develop care plans to design activities that are multi-faceted, meet guests' functional levels, and reflect the needs and interests of each guest.Offer activities that engage and involve facility, staff, volunteers and visitors.Assist with escorting guests to and from activities.Post monthly activity calendarsManage Activities Assistants in facilitating guest engagement in activities.Qualifications Licensed or registered, if applicable, by the State in which practicing; andIs eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or as an activities professional ORHas two years of experience in a social or recreational program ORIs a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant; orHas completed a training course approved by the StateHigh school diploma requiredAbout Laurel Health Care Company Laurel Health Care Company (The Laurels) is a national provider of skilled nursing, subacute, rehabilitative and assisted living services dedicated to achieving the highest standards of care.
