Under the general supervision of the Career Development Manager and the Business Office Manager (BOM), the Billing Trainee will learn to perform increasingly complex billing duties. The Trainee must also provide high quality customer service to both internal and external groups.

Train to develop skills to become a Receivable and Reconciliation Specialist in the Billing Department. Comply with training requirements as established by the Career Development Program. Train to provide administrative support to the department, including: copying, filing, scanning and organizing documents. Train to create and maintain spreadsheets and databases of records and files. Train to develop skills in using Microsoft Office software applications, especially Excel and Word. Train to develop skills necessary to perform Billing Specialist duties including: Processing claims for payment. Reconciling bills statements. Processing checks, reconciling and processing cash receipts. Entering accounts payable information. Receiving, organizing and coding claims. Processing and reconciling aging claims/payments. Learning to gather data for QI and performance metrics. Assist with other billing tasks as assigned. Because of the Tribe's commitment to community service and the well-being of its members, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities. Must be an enrolled Muckleshoot Tribal member.
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
