Responsibilities
• Utilize Epic to review and satisfy billing edits, charge information, private or government insurance benefits, and other related information from multiple billing and documentation servers• Resolve account balances and remove barriers to cash flow• Ensure appropriate use of adjustment codes and activity codes• Identify opportunities to improve business results and alert business units of trends or anomalies• Escalate unresolved issues and recommend solutions• Meet primary productivity and performance standards• Make appropriate decisions on account activity• Provide patient-focused, whole-person care• Empower and value Providence caregivers• Support the culture of understanding, commitment, and mutual respect
Requirements
• Two (2) years of experience in automated, computerized account follow-up system• Experience in a hospital setting, health insurance claims processing, or medical office• Preferred: College level coursework• Preferred: Epic experience
