Job Summary:Merit Chevrolet Co. is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This is a full-time, individual contributor role in the Accounting department of our auto dealership located in St. Paul, Minnesota. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and previous experience in the auto industry.Compensation & Benefits:This position offers a competitive salary of $21 to $25 per hour, paid weekly. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k, paid time off, and opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.Responsibilities:Process and reconcile daily depositsMonitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balancesHandle collections calls and emails in a professional and timely mannerReconcile and post payments received from customersReview and process credit applications for new customersCommunicate and work closely with sales and service departments to resolve any billing discrepanciesPrepare and maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts receivable transactionsGenerate and analyze aging reports to identify delinquent accounts and take appropriate actionAssist with month-end closing procedures and other ad hoc projects as neededRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, preferably in the auto industryKnowledge of basic accounting principles and practicesProficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software systemsStrong numerical and analytical skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsExperience with collections and credit applications is a plusEEOC Statement:Merit Chevrolet Co. is an equal opportunity employer.
