We are currently seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent numerical skills, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records. Responsibilities:
Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and maintain financial records using journals, ledgers, or computer systems.
Debit, credit, and reconcile accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases utilizing specialized accounting software.
Utilize 10-key calculators and copy machines to perform calculations and generate necessary documents.
Receive, record, and deposit cash, checks, and vouchers into appropriate bank accounts.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
Compile statistical, financial, accounting, or auditing reports and tables related to cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in accounts receivable, collections, or similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to accounting practices is a plus.
