The Accounts Receivable Clerk position primary job duties are to process incoming checks, accurately post customer payments to accounts, and communicate with customers to maintain accurate account balances. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Accurately record payments from customer into A/R detail according to customer instructions and by following all Dexter policies and procedures
Prepare bank deposits for Dexter and complete remote deposit.
File and balance accounting reports and documents
Help with monthly close, preparing customer statements to be mailed
Resolve problems with customer accounts and document communication in customer account notes
Take customer calls regarding invoice copies and payment questions
Work closely with the credit department regarding questions on payments, customer accounts, etc.
Report computer errors to AR Supervisor & IS Support
Review and process customer refund requests
Create sales tax credits for tax exempt customers according to state law
Communicate with branch contacts on a daily basis

Minimum Education Required*: High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Minimum Experience Required*: minimum of one year experience in accounting
