Accounts Receivable / Billing Specialist SmartTalent Washington is looking for a Billing and Accounts Receivables team member for a large construction and manufacturing company based in Woodinville, WA. The ideal candidate will have previous education or work experience in accounting.
LOCATION: Woodinville, WA
Pay: $30 - $33 DOE 
SCHEDULE:
Day Shift – Monday – Friday 6am – 230pm – Some flexibility

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Billing Process Management: 
o Generate and send invoices to clients in a timely and accurate manner. 
o Review contracts and purchase orders to ensure billing accuracy. 
o Maintain billing records and documentation for audit purposes. 
• Accounts Receivable Management: 
o Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments. 
o Communicate with clients regarding outstanding invoices and payment terms. 
o Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy. 
• Payment Processing: 
o Record and allocate payments received from clients. 
o Reconcile payments with invoices and resolve discrepancies as needed. 
o Prepare bank deposits and maintain deposit records. 
• Job Cost Accounting: 
o Assist in tracking costs related to specific projects or jobs. 
o Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate job costing. 
o Analyze job costs and provide insights to management as needed. 
• General Ledger Management: 
o Assist in maintaining the general ledger by posting journal entries and reconciling accounts. 
o Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements. 
o Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Customer Service: 
o Respond to client inquiries regarding billing, job costs, and payment issues. 
o Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders. 
• Financial Reporting: 
o Assist in preparing financial reports related to accounts receivable, job costing, and general ledger. 
o Provide support during financial audits as required. 
Qualifications and Education Requirements 
• Associates Degree in Accounting or Related field or 3 years of minimum work experience in accounting in lieu of degree 
• Construction accounting experience helpful but not required 
• Advanced excel knowledge 
• Outlook, word, MS Office Knowledge 
• Must have or be able to obtain a notary license
