Accounts Payable Clerk

EIT (Electronic Instrumentation & Technology) is looking for a temp-to-hire Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in our Leesburg, VA location! EIT is a Contract Manufacturer specializing in Electronic Manufacturing Services and serves customers in the sectors of Industry, Communications, Aerospace, Defense and Healthcare. Job Description:
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for the company. Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records. Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies. Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed. Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions. Calculates and reports sales tax based on paid invoices. Other related duties, as assigned. Qualifications and Experience: High school diploma required; Business or Accounting degree, preferred 1 3  years of experience in Accounts Payable, required Experience with General Ledger, required Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs Must be able to learn other accounting software systems Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records Work Environment:
Normal office environment
9/80 work schedule, with every other Friday off
Temp-to-hire position, 3 month minimum
