We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a busy and successful Construction Materials and Services company. You will be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the cost of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. This is a temp-to-hire position with long-term opportunities.

Responsibilities Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures Accurately review and process vendor invoices Maintain a large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with the company policies Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording payments. Health Insurance Weekly Pay Groth Opportunities Maintaining copies of vouchers, invoices, or correspondence necessary for files Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients' billing issues Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients Requirements High Proficiency with Microsoft Office especially Excel One-year certificate from a relevant college or trade school 2 to 3 years related accounts payable experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have experience doing Bank Reconciliations, Check Runs. Must have experience working with High Volume Accounts, FAST PACED, and INVOICES . Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
