We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Specialist to join our team. As an integral member of our Finance Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. Responsibilities:
Demonstrate superior problem-solving, resolution, and analysis skills.
Exhibit self-motivation and independent thinking in day-to-day tasks.
Handle corporate credit card reconciliations with precision.
Manage accounts payable entries and payment management effectively.
Conduct thorough bank reconciliations on a regular basis.
Maintain meticulous data records for sales commissions.
Prepare and file sales tax and Commercial Activity Tax returns accurately.
Perform trust account reconciliations with diligence.
Manage remote bank deposits efficiently.
Assist in ACA reporting processes.
Handle unclaimed funds reporting duties with attention to detail.
Stay up-to-date with and proficiently use various software platforms.
Fulfill any additional work-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):
Three or more years of experience in accounting, including bookkeeping and/or accounts payable.
Pursuing or possessing a four-year college degree in Finance or Accounting is a plus.
Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with QuickBooks is advantageous.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to comprehend and interpret documents, such as SOPs, work instructions, and software manuals.
Exceptional organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
Strong motivation to foster and maintain positive interdepartmental relationships.
