**Position Overview:**
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to lead our finance team. This role will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, accounting, and compliance functions while managing a team of remote professionals.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Manage monthly and annual close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Oversee biweekly payroll processing.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial records and reporting.
- Maintain compliance with financial reporting regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with tax accountants on tax returns and planning strategies.
- Develop and maintain internal controls for financial data integrity.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team.
- Address federal, state, and local tax notices promptly and effectively.
- Prepare the company for annual reviews and audits, including intercompany transactions and inventory audits.
- Some travel to Torito Headquarters may be required quarterly.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Manufacturing industry experience is required.
- CPA preferred.
- Experience managing remote teams.
- Proficiency in cash flow management and ADP.
- Minimum 7 years of accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
- Experience with large-scale financial systems and process improvement.
- Excellent communication skills; fluency in English required, Spanish proficiency is a bonus.
