Accounting MangerWhat we're seeking is a person experienced in that somewhat higher level of responsibility in both overseeing a larger volume of activity and also someone that can do the financial equivalent of 'reading comprehension'. Somebody that can recognize trends, abnormalities, patterns and identify reasons why. Then take actions or suggest actions as warranted. A person that might be ready to take on CFO or similar position within a few years . Somebody that does NOT require a lot of supervision or direction on a regular basis.A Masters Degree in Accounting or Finance is better, a Bachelors Degree with adequate experience could be an option. Having a CPA or equivalent certificate is NOT of high importance---because of our contracts, loan covenants, etc. we are required to have an outside independent firm handle our tax filings and also conduct financial review/audit. This person would be expected to do tasks, review and supervise the work of other front-line accounting staff.
