BWXT is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk for its Lynchburg, VA location! Job Description/Duties: Accounts Payable Clerk- Audit and process expense reports to ensure compliance with internal policy and contractual guidelines. Respond to employee inquiries and questions in relation to travel policy. Review Invoices for appropriate documentation and approvals in accordance with payment terms, prior to payment. Scan invoices into A/P automation tool Process 3 way P.O. match invoices Respond to vendor inquiries, research and correct discrepancies. Maintain files and documentation in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices. Assist in month, quarter and year-end closing. Assist with internal and external audit in relation to Acounts Payable audit requests. Assist with other Accounts Payable or Accounting projects as needed. Job Qualifications/Requirement: A minimum of an Associate's degree preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of related experience is required. Must have a strong work ethic. Must be well organized and able to follow standard procedures. Ability to be proficient in Excel, Word, AP Automation Tools, SAP experience is preferred. Must have strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research, and resolution skills. Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner. Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenships. Pay: $47,000- $71,000
The base salary range for this position in Virginia at the start of employment is expected to be between $47,000 and $71,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
