The Accounting Assistant and Hospital Cashier will receive and deposit all checks, cash, travelers' checks, and other forms of payment for all non-patient accounts receivable transactions for the institution. Process credit and debit card transactions; reconciles petty cash and prepaid gift card balances. Maintain the cash handler list and train departmental users/cash handlers throughout the institution on internal cash control procedures. This position will also create, issue, and monitor non-patient accounts receivable invoices. Receive, organize, and distribute department mail. This is a hybrid position. Must be available to be on campus at least three days a week. M i nimum Education and/or Training: High School required. Associates degree preferred Minimum Experience: Two (2) years of cash handling experience and proven, excellent customer service are required. Experience in a Banking or financial institution or hospital setting is preferred.
