Role Summary:
The Accounting Administrator plays a versatile role managing tasks from processing billing and accounts payable to aiding in the implementation of a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. This position requires a keen understanding of basic accounting principles, precise transaction handling, and a proactive approach to learning new technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage incoming mail and process accounts payable invoices following company guidelines.
Perform timely vendor payments and maintain accurate electronic transaction records.
Engage with vendors effectively, resolving discrepancies and maintaining professional relationships.
Support month-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Utilize NetSuite to run financial reports, manage fixed assets, and assist in inventory valuation.
Contribute to purchasing processes and tracking, ensuring alignment with departmental needs.
Engage in special projects that may include data analysis, process improvements, or backup purchasing duties.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
Experience in accounting or finance roles, including internships, is advantageous.
Proficiency in Office 365 and experience with ERP systems like NetSuite is desirable.
Work Environment:
The position is primarily onsite, with options for occasional remote work subject to management approval.
Requires the ability to work effectively under various mental and physical demands.
