Accountants Payable / Accounts Receivable

Job Summary:Lexus of Wayzata is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Accountant for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This is a full-time position in the Auto industry, located in Wayzata, Minnesota. The individual in this role will be responsible for processing and reconciling financial transactions related to vendor invoices, customer payments, and internal accounts. This is an individual contributor role, reporting to the finance manager.Compensation & Benefits:The compensation for this position is $22 to $25 per hour, paid weekly. Eligible employees may also receive benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan.Responsibilities:Process and review all incoming vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness, ensuring proper coding and authorizationReconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepanciesCommunicate with vendors to resolve payment issues in a timely mannerPrepare and process payments to vendors via check or electronic transferRecord customer payments and maintain accurate customer account balancesWork closely with the sales team to resolve any customer billing inquiriesMaintain organized and accurate records of all financial transactionsPrepare and distribute regular financial reportsAssist with month-end and year-end closing processesAdhere to all accounting standards and internal controlsCollaborate with other team members to streamline and improve accounts payable and accounts receivable processesRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field2+ years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivableProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting softwareStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent time management and organization skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamKnowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Prior experience in the auto industry is a plusEEOC Statement:Lexus of Wayzata is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at our company.
