Our San Antonio Client is in search of an Accountant with 1-5 years experience
Pay is $55k to $70k DOE
This role is onsite and located near San Antonio International Airport.
Essential Functions: Compile and analyze financial information to assist in preparation of financial statements.
Make certain all financial reporting deadlines are met Verify support schedules to general ledger control accounts
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and review sales, cost of goods sold, and expense accounts for accuracy and make corrections as needed
Compile and post monthly journal entries Assist outside insurance, government & accounting auditors
Substantiate financial transactions and reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information and supporting documents
Compile hourly employee timesheets to send to corporate accounting team for weekly payroll
Prepare weekly certified payroll reports
Assist with entering transactional data as needed, such as: accounts payable entry, customer invoicing, etc.
Assist in ad hoc analysis
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
Current and valid US driver's license
At least 1-4 years of applicable experience preferred CPA is a plus Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems, preferably in a manufacturing/distribution environment
Knowledge and experience in accounting and financial disciplines
Advanced level MS Excel user Overall proficiency in MS office
Well organized with strong analytical and reasoning abilities
