It also offers support through Path Forward, a nonprofit organization on a mission to empower people who've been focused on caregiving transition back to the paid workforce.As the Accountant, you are responsible for activities related to accruals, payments, leases, accounts receivable, and system data validation. You are detail-oriented, responsible, reliable, eager to learn, and customer-focused with excellent communication skills. This is a new position due to growth and will be cross-trained among the team for flexibility.In this role, you will:Review the accuracy of PO GLA coding and service PO accrualsWork closely with FinOps by validating their consolidated accruals and preventing duplicate bookings Be the main point of contact for FinOps on accrual questionsWork closely with the business application team and FinOps on unusual system bookings. Perform PO data clean-upPrepare monthly and quarterly accounts reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Assist third-party vendor to file sales and use taxes.Assist manager in maintaining ASC 842 lease accounting complianceInitiate weekly and urgent AP paymentsBe the backup of other accounting matters if neededQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting or a similar degree4+ years of relevant work experienceUnderstanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control processesMicrosoft Office suite and intermediate Excel skillsBonus Qualifications7+ years of relevant work experience preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsPositive attitude, detail-oriented, team player, responsible, and ability to quickly adapt to changesThere are three major components to compensation for this position: pay, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The pay range for this position is $116,000 to $145,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The pay range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
