Accountant - Remote Work

Job Description:

AK Steel Holding is seeking a hardworking and passionate Accountant to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. As an entry-level position, this role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals with 1 year of experience in accounting to further develop their skills and knowledge in a dynamic and growing company.

Responsibilities:- Prepare financial statements and reports for review by management- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes- Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records- Support with tax preparation and compliance- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure financial goals are met- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to accounting functions

Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field- 1 year of experience in accounting or finance- Strong attention to detail and accuracy- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively- Planning and project management skills- CPA certification is a plus
