Position Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Remote-Centric Hybrid, Nashville, TN (Team members primarily work from home but visit the office 2-3 times a month)

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. This entry-level position will be responsible for managing the accounting and financial functions of assigned ambulatory surgery centers. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited institution, with a preference for new graduates. While primarily remote, this role involves occasional visits to our office in Nashville, TN.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary resource for center personnel regarding financial matters.
- Manage cash flow and maintain the proprietary cash management system.
- Prepare financial statements, including cash flow statements, and analyze monthly financial packages.
- Conduct asset management tasks such as reconciling fixed asset costs and reviewing inventory counts.
- Perform income statement trend analysis and prepare notes for financial report reviews.
- Reconcile bank accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
- Provide training to center personnel on best practices for financial irregularities.
- Analyze and record payroll and benefits activity.
- Interpret legal agreements and assist with specific center analysis.
- Monitor and implement changes to correct incorrect practices at centers.
- Ensure regular and reliable attendance, with occasional onsite work as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited College or University.
- Previous experience in public accounting or industry is a plus.
- Healthcare experience is also advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of integrity and discretion.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Flexibility to work a flexible schedule when necessary.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
