This role entails overseeing bill payments and managing bookkeeping for our various entities, all while acting as a liaison between our property management partner and us to ensure comprehensive management of our long-term rental properties.

Key Responsibilities: Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring proper classification and documentation. Month-end Close: Assist in the month-end closing process, including reconciling accounts and preparing financial statements. Analyze variances and discrepancies, investigating and resolving any issues. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process vendor/utility invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments. Prepare and distribute customer invoices, monitor accounts receivable, and follow up on overdue payments. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Financial Reporting: Generate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Provide financial data and analysis to support decision-making processes. Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and support as needed. Process Improvement and Accounting Team Accountability: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in financial operations. Collaborate with team members to implement changes and enhance financial workflows. Influence and coach accounting team members to meet stringent performance standards and deadlines. Experience: At least 2 years accounting experience, preferably closing books for companies 80 WPM minimum and accurate - May be required to take a typing test Extremely detail oriented - May be required to take a detail assessment Experience with Quickbooks or similar software. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The role requires lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
