Full job description Serves as a key contact for data management and analysis, visualization and dashboards, and internal and external reporting needs, primarily supporting Planning Design and Construction (PDC) and Finance BI Team. Assists and supports other Facilities team members as needed with the development and maintenance of various web applications, data repositories, and related tools. Collaborates with cross-functional teams across Clemson, streamlining data gathering, interpretation, augmentation, and presentation activities. Engaging with stakeholders to support Facilities and Finance objectives. This position will interact on a regular basis with unit and executive level leadership and staff.
JOB DUTIES: 40% - Essential - Data Systems and Analytics:
Develop and grow a business intelligence competency within PDC. Serves as a contact for the development, administration and management of web applications and tools used in PDC. Performs analytical and reporting responsibilities. Develops, delivers, and administers data analytics, including building and maintaining visualization reports, dashboards, and complex cost data analytics. Performs ad-hoc analysis and reporting to inform decision making.
Reviews and validates data to ensure accuracy and integrity. Perform data quality audits to maintain and assure data integrity.
20% - Essential - Project Management and Communications:
Supports strategic project initiatives from conception through implementation across PDC. Define best practices, standards and development strategies for reporting tools for data collection and analysis. Coordinates and engages with other project managers and change management teams to deliver, track progress, and measure impact of work performed. Collaborate with staff to recommend solutions that are aligned with Business/IT strategies and comply with Institute standards and processes. Proactively builds alliances with stakeholders to support user adoption and understanding of work outputs, including leading training, facilitating workshops, and other engagement activities. Contribute to implementation of strategic goals through data analysis
20% - Essential - Technical Expertise: Maintains knowledge of various PDC and Finance systems and business processes, including software and custom web applications. Provides end user support, documentation, and training for those systems. Researches IT and business process solutions and makes recommendations to improve efficiency.
20% - Essential - System Administration: Serves as one of the primary contacts for the development and support of various web, data management, and visualization applications used in Facilities and Finance. Providing coding, administration and content updates as needed to support the PDC and Finance teams. Supports data quality maintenance in all systems as directed. Develops and maintains reports using Structured Query Language (SQL) and other applicable reporting languages.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION Expected Compensation: $28.00 Hourly
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
