Details of the offer

The purpose of this class is to provide lead accounting support for the College's fixed asset inventory, including internal auditing, financial reporting, and account reconciliation, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and federal, state and local guidelines.  The position is also responsible for proper labeling, addition and disposal of the college's assets.
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years related experience, knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications and financial management systems.   Two (2) years of experience in fixed asset, general ledger accounting preferred.
Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets. Maintain all tables and data in the Banner fixed asset system. Maintain the record keeping for all fixed assets removed from service and written off by the College. Prepare monthly and annual year end reporting for fixed assets. Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets and assist the auditors with their inquiries. Maintain vehicle fleet records for the college and Baltimore County (e.g., registrations, titles and reporting requirements). Calculate and maintain depreciation schedules and analyze variances. Verify and process invoices accompanied by valid purchase orders. Maintain and view the Accounts Payable email address site for invoices and inquiries. Assist with the department year-end close.
