About the role:
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our organization. Working with a diverse team, your tasks will include recording financial transactions, preparing client invoices, conducting account reconciliation, and analyzing financial statements.
What you will be doing: Using financial data to record journal entries in the general ledger. Managing the month-end closing process. Completing all closing tasks on time and ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of journal entries. Identifying and escalating any potential issues. Reviewing trends and flagging anomalies. Analyzing profit and loss trends and balance sheet variances. Performing account reconciliations accurately and providing adequate explanations and supporting documentation. Assisting in audit compliance and timely escalation of errors. Learning from audit findings and implementing improvements. Contributing to department-wide initiatives and identifying opportunities for process efficiencies while maintaining internal controls and reliable financial reporting. What you will need: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. 1-3 years of prior accounting experience. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX). Preference for candidates with public accounting experience and CPA certification. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong critical thinking, data analysis, and documentation skills. Effective time management and organizational abilities. Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
