Job Description and Duties Under direct supervision of the Administrator I, the Accountant I (Specialist), performs semi-professional accounting work in the Accounting Section. The Accountant I (Specialist) performs a variety of duties such as researching, analyzing, monitoring, establishing, and maintaining of account and financial records. Maintains working relationships with Franchise Tax Board (FTB) personnel, vendors, contractors, and state control agencies to facilitate the Accounts Payable and Fiscal Controls process needed by internal management and other departments.
Separation of Duties
The duties of this position include responsibilities covered in State Administrative Manual (SAM) Section 7280. To ensure proper separation of duties, you may not be eligible for this position if a family member (husband, wife, brother or sister) works in the accounting section.

Working Conditions Ø Thisposition is eligible for remote-working within California based on departmentalguidelines and operational need. FTB has a minimum in-office requirement of twodays per week for all positions including those that are eligible for telework.
