Job summary
The Account Specialist is responsible for managing relationships with clients in the small and mid-market business segment.They provide outstanding customer service, resolve issues, and manage the renewal process.The position requires a high level of customer focus and a subject matter expertise in vision products in the insurance industry.

Responsibilities
• Ensure client satisfaction and retention of assigned client base• Manage relationship with current clients and provide outstanding customer service• Serve as a subject matter expert for vision products in insurance industry• Provide annual business reviews to largest clients and brokers• Provide on-time/accurate renewal proposals• Respond to inquiries and issues with sense of urgency• Interact daily by phone with external constituents• Develop strong relationships with internal and external constituents• Maintain/obtain proper licensing as required• Collaborate with clients to provide optimal vision benefit products• Finalize and implement negotiated plan designs and renewals
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent• 2+ years in a service oriented profession with demonstrated success• Accident & Health Insurance License or ability to obtain license within 60 (sixty) days of hire• Superior professional communication skills – verbal and written• Strong phone presence• Strong organizational and follow through skills• Proficient skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook• Ability to manage multiple priorities• Ability to anticipate customer's needs, strong customer focus• Experience and knowledge of vision benefits and/or insurance industry
