Essential Functions: Increase customer sales in accordance with objectives. Prospect assigned territories for new sales leads. Implement seasonal re-sets in customer produce departments. Direct, teach and implement the building of special produce displays. Supply and educate customers and produce managers with point of sale and point of purchase materials. Coordinate with outside and inside reps on budget, gross profit, sales and strategic goals for Indianapolis Fruit. Conduct annual customer reviews, including category review, product performance, SKU additions & reductions and seasonal sales planning. Complete all ordering and pricing in a timely manner. Other Functions: Maintain regular and satisfactory full-time attendance. Perform work outside of normal business hours as required. Perform special projects as assigned by the President– Vine Line Produce. Competencies, Education, and Skills to be Successful: Intellectual horsepower and highly resourceful Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills Innovative and creative thinking Listening skills Influencing and negotiation skills Complex problem-solving Related college coursework and at least 3 years successful fresh produce management experience in sales, buying or merchandising for large wholesale distributors or retailers. Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office, produce industry software and common E Mail systems are required.
