This includes the repairing, inspecting and maintaining the structural, mechanical and electronic elements of the aircraft, replacing parts measuring wear and assessing weather parts needing repair or replacement.If you thrive in a dynamic environment, enjoy working with people and are motivated by delivering excellence, then we could be a good fit for you, and you for us.Inspectors are responsible to the Chief Inspector and Quality Assurance Supervisor for the following:When not performing Inspector duties, the Repair Station Inspector must perform technician duties to support the aircraft availability.To assist in Initial and development training of all Repair Station personnel in respect to accepted maintenance practices and Repair Station procedures. To provide completed training forms documenting the training.Assist the Supervisors when needed in directing personnel to assigned duties, supervision of the job through completion and return to service.Inspecting work performed by the technicians, ascertaining that all required entries on maintenance forms and work orders used by the Repair Station are properly executed by the responsible individuals and approving aircraft or components for return to service after maintenance.Ensuring that personnel in the Maintenance Department maintain consistent quality of Workmanship.Maintaining the Repair Station facilities, equipment and tools in a clean and orderly fashion to present a professional image.To ensure that no rejected, defective, unserviceable, or unairworthy parts are installed in any component or article released by the Repair Station and ensuring the proper identification of such parts as stated in Part I, Sect. V, pg. 31 & 32 of the Repair Station Manual.Provide a concise and complete turnover report for the next shift of personnel.Performing aircraft maintenance and repairs in accordance with applicable:Federal Aviation RegulationsCompany and repair station manuals and department policiesFAA ASAP and FSA SMS ProgramsPerforming inspections, testing, repairing light aircraftOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Participate in activities including supporting and promoting the safety culture, reporting of all aviation safety related issues via the feedback system, and adhere to the processes related.Interacting with the Instructors and trannies in a professional manner.Driving or flying to other airports to repair company aircraft when needed.Participate in activities including supporting and promoting the safety culture, reporting of all aviation safety related issues via the feedback system, and adhere to the processes related.Support Skyborne Airline Academy and its subsidiaries' commitment to ethical behavior by basing our priorities on lawful and ethical conduct as we deal with workers, Customers, vendors and others in all of operations (See Sarbanes-Act of 2002).Other tasks may be assigned by Head of Maintenance, Assistant Head of Maintenance, Chief Inspector, and/or Center Director.QualificationsProfessional requirements are as follows:General Aviation experience with 100-hour, annual inspections, sheet metal repairs, troubleshooting systems and replacement of parts experience is preferred.High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 5 years' experience in aviation with three or more years working at FAA Repair StationTraining will include:Repair Station Inspector responsibilities.AcMP trainingSquawk crew procedure training.Assessment of trouble shooting and listening skills.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.Ability to concentrate and work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to maintain strong customer orientation under challenging circumstances.Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without restrictions.Contingent to employment, all candidates must pass a drug screening and background check, along with TSA badging-if required for your role.Additional InformationBenefitsFull Time, Shift Hours, you will be working on the Squawk crew; Shifts are 0600 to 1500 or 1400 to 2300. Your primary workdays will be Tuesday through Saturday. You can request a shift, but you must be willing to work either of the shifts.Salary: $30.00 per hour (As an Inspector, in addition to your current Mechanic salary, you will receive a $2 per hour differential)Health Insurance (medical, dental and vision)401k InvestmentPTO - 18 days, plus 5-Sick DaysHolidays - 9 daysThis is an opportunity not to be missed.
