If you join us, you'll take a journey that matters.We're hiring a 2nd Shift Production SupervisorOur Clean Mobility Division is looking for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor for its manufacturing facility in Franklin, OH to be responsible for the following:OrganizationLine manager of 15 to 25 operators who work in the same time frame (shift)QCDP PerformanceMake sure QCD indicators reflect customer expectationsDefine, together with the supervisors of the other shifts and the UAP manager, QCDP targets for the GAPs (improvement versus actual situation): ppm, pph, TRS, absenteeism, number of accidents, improvement ideas…Monitor performance during the shift and report accurate data at the end of the shiftManage resources to reach results: adapt headcount to volume, etcReact in case of a problem: take care of immediate containment, call support functions, build corrective  action plansReplace GAP leader when necessaryDrive actions for improvement:Know team problems, seek feedbacksDefine area for performance improvementsDrive teamwork and problem-solving activities, lead Problem Solving Groups and workshops (5S, Hoshin, TPM, SMED, 6 Quality Basics…)Drive improvement ideas generation and implementationEnsure audits of standardized work are conducted by GAP leaders on a daily basis and ensure corrective actions are taking place.Audits once a week with each GAP Leader the respect of standardized workAims to devote 70% of his/her time to improvement actionsDefine threshold and escalation of reaction modes to problems within his/her supervisory zonePeople ManagementLeading by example in terms of rigor and discipline:Assure daily managementPermanent presence on the Shopfloor: daily contact with all team members, close management of the linesManage headcount: plan the day before people allocation for the next day, plan also on a weekly basisCoach GAP Leaders and team members in how to perform their roleSupport and help to fix problemsEnsure discipline and rigor (work wear, break times, working hours…)Ensure the respect of safety instructions, policies and proceduresDevelopment of the teamParticipate in the selection and recruitment of line employeesEnsure proper induction of new operators on the lineBuild training plan to increase team autonomy; ensure training and coaching of team membersManage annual performance interviews for all team membersPlan development of the people (validation and support from UAP manager and Human Resources Manager when appropriate): training, job evolutionValidation of polyvalenceEnsure recognition upon individual performance: take part of the decision processEnsure proper flow of information to and from the team: top 5 with GAP Leaders, regular information meetings, rapid cascade of critical information and of messages from managementHealth, Safety and Environment and working conditionsEnsure full respect of HSE rules and regulationsResponsible for immediate stopping of a line in case of safety risksLead HSE core teams and drive implementation to followDrive improvement of working conditions and ergonomicsTeam workEnsure transparent timely communication with UAP manager and internal customersArrive before start of shift in order to ensure transfer of all information from the supervisor of previous shiftParticipate with supervisory colleagues to improvement of UAP performanceParticipate to UAP Top 5 and report line performance, successes and issues as well as action initiatedAdhere to the Code of EthicsAdhere to the Code of ManagementLeadership Competencies:•   Cultivates Innovation•   Driving Performance•   Customer Focus•   Drives Results•   Optimizes Work Processes•   Learning Agility•   Political Savvy•   Demonstrates Self-Awareness•   Collaborates with Others•   Instills TrustQualifications:The ideal candidate will have/be:Preferably a Bachelor's degreeAt least 2 years of production experience2-3 years of supervisory experienceOperational knowledge of production methods (Kanban, 5S, Hoshin, TPM…)Strong sense of teamworkStrong communication skillsProven track record in upholding safety and quality standards#FORVIA2024We believe people matterFaurecia is anequal opportunity employer.
