ResponsibilitiesStrictly adheres to all recipes, methods and instructions from supervisorMaintains an organized and efficient flow of production, with regards to changes in forecasts and menusAssists the Assistant Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in maintaining standards in the galleyConsistently checks temperatures in foods and follows proper procedures regarding chilling, re-heating, and holding foodChecks station prior to leaving to ensure cleanliness, proper disposal/removal of food, and proper storing and labelingAdhere to all SOP's and participates in the ongoing creation of SOPs relevant to their area of responsibilityEnsure that all areas are maintained in accordance with Company policy, Public Health (HACCP), SMS, safety and environmental regulationsHiring RequirementsMinimum of 1-year culinary experience on an ultra-luxury Cruise Ship, Private Club, Boutique Hotel, ultra-luxury Hotel or ResortKnowledge of all basic cooking techniques and skills including:Knife skills, basic cuts, all cooking methodsKnowledge of basic equipment including steamer, fryer, kettles, robocoupBasic understanding of herbs, spices, and various flavoring ingredientsAlong with worldwide travel opportunities, The World offers many other benefits.
