STARTING HOURLY RATE: $18.90-$19.76 (PLACEMENT DEPENDS ON SIMILAR EXPERIENCE HELD AND EDUCATION)
SUMMARY:
The Truck Driver inspects, organizes, shelves, and loads incoming and outgoing warehouse deliveries. Participates in making deliveries, organizing warehouse, and packing and stabilizing pallets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Delivers and unloads shipments of food and supply orders to school campuses. Expedites deliveries of ordered items and retrieves empty pallets as needed.
Pulls, inspects, and organizes items ordered to ensure quality and quantity of items matches order forms. Assists with the packing process to ensure shipment is stabilized, wrapped, and ready for delivery.
Collects deliveries from schools to be returned to the food service warehouse. Restocks items into the proper warehouse space.
Uses warehouse equipment, forklift and pallet jacks in performance of job duties.
Assists with stocking deliveries sent to the Food Service warehouse.
Assists Stock Clerk in taking monthly inventory and keeping the warehouse in order.
Mops and cleans the snack bar floor.
Conducts inspections of delivery trucks to ensure proper operation. Performs safety checks as required by law and District policies and procedures. Keeps delivery truck, or other assigned vehicle, clean and serviced.
Supports the relationship between the Phoenix Union High School District and the public by demonstrating courteous and professional behavior when interacting with students, parents, visitors, and school staff; maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, client records, and school information; follows Governing Board Policies; performs all other related duties as required or assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training, and Experience Guidelines:
High School diploma or GED equivalent; AND three years of experience in warehouse operations and delivery truck operation; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
License and Certification Requirements:
A valid Arizona State Driver's license is required.
Must possess, or obtain within sixty (60) calendar days of hiring, a valid Commercial Driver's License with all endorsements required by local, state and federal authorities to maintain and operate the vehicles used in the District's Food Services program (e.g., State of Arizona "P" and "S" endorsements).
Must possess a valid Maricopa County Food Handler's Card.

Skill safely operating trucks and other vehicles.
Ability to learn warehouse delivery procedures.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and procedures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in warehouse environment and requires exposure to potentially dangerous machinery and cold temperatures. May be required to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds and operate a deliver truck. Physical ability to perform all of the essential functions
of the position (e.g., the ability to stand, turn, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, lift, push, and pull). Sufficient vision and hearing to perform the essential functions of the position.
