Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Piping Design Engineer for a chemical facility. Collaborate on complex projects, from fieldwork to detailed design, ensuring safety, functionality, and compliance. If you have 5-7 years of experience in process piping design and are proficient in AutoCAD 3D or similar tools, apply now to contribute to cutting-edge industrial projects
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Perform the necessary fieldwork, pulling measurements, locating tie-ins, as-building existing systems, develop detailed scopes. Work from P&ID's, client specifications and vendor data to design complex piping systems for chemical facility. Create isometrics, pipe supports. Ensures that completed design is functional, maintainable, and designed with safety and that all applicable codes have been followed and maintain. Interface with other disciplines Skills Required Knowledgeable in the design and layout of process piping and equipment with 5 -7years of experience preferred. Proficient in AutoCAD 3D or MicroStation, E3D or PDMS is preferred. Must have extensive fieldwork experience in chemical, industrial, or manufacturing environments. Some work may require working at heights above 6 feet, climbing stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and man-lifts. Education/Training/Certifications High School Degree or GED Additional Requirements Must be US Citizen Work is located at a chemical plant and requires exposure to ambient temperature extremes. Work may require using and wearing personal protective equipment such as fire-retardant clothing, hearing and eye protection, hard hat, and steel-toed boots. Day-to-day physical requirements involve standard office activities including sitting/standing for extended periods of time, attending meetings, use of keyboard and mouse repetitively, lifting and carrying less than 20lbs frequently. Work requires moderate physical exertion including walking to operating areas and walking upstairs. May require walking the plant property.
