As part of our team you will provide clinical expertise support and oversight that helps ensure our patients receive exceptional care. Potential for remote or hybrid work schedule - will be discussed if selected for interview Provides oversight by performing a variety of duties associated with gathering information concerning professional and general liability incidents, actual / potential claims, and lawsuits involving Arizona General Hospital. Investigates and analyzes actual and potential risks at Arizona General Hospital; assesses liability and probability of legal action, and recommends appropriate actions to minimize institutional risk. Duties also involve designing performance measurements reflecting effective risk management, data analysis, trend identification, facilitating problem solving, and reporting to organizational leadership on same. Gathers information from multiple sources to understand problems, recognizes symptoms that indicate more significant problems, and draws conclusions by relating all of the information available.
Minimum of 3 years experience in related field required. 2 years supervisory experience required. Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree. Unencumbered AZ RN license required. Certification in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred. Demonstrated sound decision making ability and able to operate well under pressure in related situations. Demonstrated cooperative spirit in working with others to seek problem resolution, while also being tenacious at resolving difficult situations. Possesses working knowledge of appropriate questioning approach, detection problems or opportunities, organization of information, and determination of appropriate levels of information distribution, and facilitation of necessary improvements. Working knowledge of healthcare related regulatory requirements including at least Medicare / CMS COPS, Arizona hospital licensure, and Joint Commission.
