JOB TITLE: Mig Welder REPORTS TO: Fabrication Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Fabrication Dept.
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SALARY RANGE: $22-$25 Per Hour OVERVIEW Pelsue is the industry leader in manufacturing worker safety products and vehicles for the telephone, utility and construction industries. We are looking for welders in our fabrication shop in Aurora. We operate turret presses, brakes, presses, saws, robotic welder, among other equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ability to setup welder machine, change gas & wire Ability to use various hand tools Maintain equipment in a safe and effective manner Ensure cleanliness of work area COMPENTENCIES Great work ethic & self-motivated Ability to read blue prints and part drawings Positive attitude while working within the team Good communication skills Personal Effectiveness/Credibility & Ethical Conduct SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities
WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in a manufacturing metal fabrication shop & will be required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment. (Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes at a min).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and to reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear. Ability to lift 75 lbs.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work while onsite are Monday through Thursday 6:30am to 5:00pm. Overtime may be required on occasion.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, 2 years previous welding experience will be an advantage to applicant.
