Responsibilities
• Overall responsible for all shift operations• Evaluate and enforce policies and procedures• Monitor product and information flow• Maintain inventory integrity• Oversee warehouse and team with office manager• Communicate job expectations to staff• Constantly evaluate manning and space requirements• Maintain a safe and clean work environment• Coach and train employees• Achieve operational objectives• Control expenses• Resolve problems• Initiate corrective actions for errors or violations• Monitor quality of services• Monitor quality of product handling• Monitor and review staff• Audit processes including receiving, shipping, and paperwork trails• Secure property by maintaining access policies and procedures• Review daily inbound and outbound requirements and plan resources• Track orders in and out of warehouse• Track needs for daily orders with office manager and administrative staff• Communicate expectations to staff• Monitor product and information flow with administrators• Monitor issues with inventory locations and correct immediately• Oversee warehouse employees• Resolve problems• Monitor quality of services• Monitor quality of product handling• Document to-do items in Day-Timer
Requirements
• 5 years of management/leadership experience in LTL trucking, consolidation or Cross Deck• Proven experience in providing high levels of customer service• Ability to make decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments, and direct the workforce• Taking ownership of business and ensuring high standards of safety, productivity, and customer service• Ability to train, coach, and mentor warehouse associates• Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills• Strong organization and prioritizing skills• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously• Ability to solve problems and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment• Intermediate PC skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
