Details of the offer

The Coker University Department of Sciences is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry beginning August 2024. This is a full-time, 9-month position with competitive salary and benefits reporting to the Dean of the College of Humanities and Sciences. This position has the potential to convert to a tenure-track position in the second year.
Preferred qualifications include an earned Ph.D. (ABD will be considered) in chemistry, with teaching responsibilities to include organic chemistry, general chemistry, biochemistry, and physical science. The primary responsibilities of the position include face-to-face teaching assignments at the undergraduate level and advising/mentoring students in an active undergraduate research program. Opportunities for online (credentialing preferred) and hybrid teaching are also possible.
