About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Retail Sales to join their leadership team and oversee the sales and general management of the retail business. The role involves assessing current retail sales operations, building a multi-channel distribution strategy, establishing revenue and margin growth goals, and developing key partner relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the retail business strategy, owning the budget, managing teams, and inventing new mechanisms to scale profitable distribution nationally. They will also lead a team of high-performing employees, select and manage retail broker relationships, and collaborate with various teams to establish standards and guidelines for wholesale channel sales, merchandising, forecasting, and customer experience.Applicants should have at least 15 years of experience within the retail channel and a proven ability to lead and scale in those channels. Experience in multi-channel wholesale direct food and beverage sales, particularly in coffee and premium products, is essential. The role requires strategic sales initiatives, up to 50% travel, and a robust network within the retail distribution networks. The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree, with a Master's degree being preferred but not required, and a track record of defining and delivering innovative ideas to drive long-term business results. They should be adept at developing business plans, managing costs, and have a strong operational capability.
