As a Buyers Edge Platform brand, we are committed to providing fresh category management services to our clients with unprecedented service, superior access to high-quality fresh produce, commodity expertise and strategic supply chain solutions.This position is hybrid based out of our Suwanee, GA or Salinas, CA office with anticipated travel 6 times per year. Your impact:Coordination with Transportation ProvidersCollaborate with transportation providers to ensure timely and accurate movement of shipments.Review purchase orders to guarantee order accuracy.Verify pickup and delivery information for all shipments.Track and trace loads to provide real-time updates.Management of Transportation Management System (TMS):Oversee and manage daily TMS Processes.Maintain and manage a portfolio of carriers within the PA approved program.Communication:Engage in continual, tactical communication with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Channel Representatives).Ensure effective communication channels to address any transportation-related inquiries or issues.Process Development:Assist in the development of internal processes aimed at increasing productivity and operational efficiencies.Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to streamline transportation-related workflows.Support for Transport Quality Activities:Support various Transport Quality activities, including handlining claims, monitoring EDI performance, and ensuring compliance with established standards.Sales Goal Achievement:Contribute to achieving quarterly sales goals by actively selling freight services to distributor members.About you:Entry level knowledge of MS Excel based tools; familiarity with Excel spreadsheets and ability to navigate and interpret dataExperience in manufacturing, transportation, customer service, and/or distribution environmentsData management & data quality control experience with experience pulling and analyzing large sets of dataDemonstrated experience using data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement.2+ years' work experience in logistics/transportation industryA completed bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent experienceWhat's in this for you?
