Job Description McDonald's is seeking a collaborative and proactive individual who will clarify expectations, apply relevant standards and best-practices to craft and develop innovative solutions, POCs and fast fail concepts for our technology deployment team. This will be a collaborative role and will have influence and oversight over the front-end channel and backend systems to ensure consistency of product and integration standard methodologies. You'll collaborate with McDonald's franchisees, vendors and numbers of internal teams. There's no shortage of opportunity as the deployment team is responsible for all technology delivered into the 13,500+ restaurants and just last year over a million software upgrades were performed.
Analyze new solution requests, solicits, and clarifies nonfunctional requirements, and works with developer team to formulate conceptual and physical architectures, to rapidly deliver solutions in a fast paced, multi-vendor, cloud-first environment Triages technology proposals against existing infrastructure standards and best practices, and leads subsequent solution and variance activities Lead, develop, and implement sequencing, priorities, dependencies, and dashboards needed for solution deployments Experience in deployment roll out across network of geographically dispersed and high number of restaurant sites preferred Establish relationships across organization, specifically with McDonalds Product Engineering Managers and McDonald development teams Work with Product Engineering Managers to ensure that development team backlogs are appropriately populated Assist development team in removal of blockers during development sprints Collect and report on development team performance metrics on regular cadence Track 3rd party development team performance and ensure that targets are in line with development targets Consolidate team performance, outputs and roadmaps for sharing with larger organization on monthly/quarterly basis Develop deep understanding of development pipelines and corresponding tools used by development teams Build out mapping of technical domains and ownership groups that aid in connecting teams to resolve blockers and drive efficient development Develop understanding of testing processes and tools Partner with development teams to find opportunities for improvements in the development pipelines and consolidate into improvement backlog Qualifications Required skills: 5+ years of non-internship professional experience in Project Management 5+ years facilitating and leading teams in fast paced, results driven environment Proven track record in working with development teams with exposure to CI/CD pipelines. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent years of experience. Knowledge of DevOps principles and Agile processes. Hard-working with strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated leadership abilities in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence and standard methodologies. Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Applications Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and PowerBI Able to work with culturally complementary teams across levels in a global organization and in an extensively outsourced environment Strong collaborator management and prioritization skills, organized and meticulous Recognize and communicate areas of opportunity for product, process, and service improvements Solid grasp of the Software Creation Process including Agile development practices Exceptional problem solving/critical thinking skills Desired skills: Strong background with experience integrating applications and systems developed by multiple parties Ability to understand complex integration needs and work with multiple teams to drive alignment, integrate, and certify the integration of front-end and back-end systems Ability to work in a fast-paced, often changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment Ability to resolve issues Experience with RESTful API Design/Microservice design a plus Exposure in open source tools such as Node.JS, Cassandra, etc. Additional Information McDonald's is an equal opportunity employer committed to the diversity of our workforce.
