BASIC PURPOSE : Monitor / track employee performance and deadlines. Independent analysis of specific company activities including royalties, 3rd party agreements, lottery, cash accounts, and monthly close; completion and analysis of work papers.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Make independent decisions and recommendations regarding journal entries, reconciliations and work paper analysis. Use discretion and independent judgment in developing enhancements to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department. Enhance efficiencies through independent analysis of auditing of control procedures. Identify and assess potential opportunities for improvement. Interact with other departments and operations. Identifying hiring needs within the department and conducting effective interviews. Monitoring the production of employees, documenting performance and managing disciplinary actions, if needed. Monitor and assist with employee training Monitor and assist with daily / weekly / monthly employee duties Other duties assigned as needed. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting Experience: 3 years of accounting experience preferred SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Skills: Hard skills: Knowledge in Microsoft Office and advanced knowledge of SAP Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail orientated, self motivated, and a team player Typical Physical Demands: Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. Requires normal range of hearing and vision. Job Function(s): Accounting and Finance
