Staff Accountant

OVERVIEW:
The Staff Accountant’s responsibilities will include recording transactions and following month-end close procedures focusing mainly on bank reconciliations. The job also requires good knowledge of accounting principles as well as excellent analytical skills
RESPONSIBILTIES:
Accounting support to the General Ledger accounting function
Propose and record monthly journal entries
Prepare bank reconciliations including cash and payroll
Identify and research bank transactions within the ERP system
Identify and research sales and disbursement transactions with third party processors
Support external audits to ensure compliance
Document business processes and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:
BS degree in Accounting or related business field
3+ years’ GL accounting experience
General understanding of US GAAP
Experience with general ledger functions
Ability to execute deadline driven month-end processes

The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
