Position Summary


Are you ready to lead and manage the development of new programs that help our customers save money and energy or use renewables and electric vehicles (EVs)? You will assemble and lead cross-functional teams to create new programs for customers across residential and business segments, helping them to increase their energy efficiency through advanced grid tools and participate in the clean energy and transportation transitions! You also will contribute to strategic product (program) portfolio planning, improve business processes, and strengthen working relationships with key internal and external business partners. This strategically critical role allows you to deliver customer-centric programs that have a meaningful impact on the way customers use energy.



Essential Responsibilities Develop and launch agreed upon new products (programs). Responsible for all launch elements and success criteria. Monitor and document results to ensure that product development activities achieve product portfolio and Company strategies, adhere to process, maintain schedule, manage risk and budget. Assure successful transition to Product Management after launch period.
Prepare business plans for new product ideas using a robust product development process. This work includes all aspects of business plan preparation including but not limited to customer need, financial, market, and competition analysis. Gain agreement on recommendations with the cross-functional team, business partners and leaders.
Identify new opportunities to leverage advanced grid (also known as advanced metering infrastructure or AMI) capabilities to enable customers to better understand their energy use, driving energy efficiency and demand management participation through resulting customer programs.
Identify next generation customer programs that support customers in adopting clean energy (e.g., renewables and batteries) and clean transportation (EVs).
Develop and maintain relationships with internal partner organizations, such as Engineering, Policy & Regulatory, Legal, Technology Services, Marketing & Communications, and Supply Chain. Promote proactive communication and enable collaborative integration of efforts.

Minimum Requirements Bachelor degree in business administration, engineering or related discipline or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
MBA preferred.
Minimum of seven years' experience in product development, program management, engineering, or regulatory administration.
A minimum of two years' experience in at least one of the following areas is required: competitive product development; DSM product development; renewable energy; energy monitoring and information services.
Experience developing financial plans, evaluating competition and markets, team leadership, and project management.
Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
Knowledge of development processes and utility regulation.

Preferred MBA or other relevant advanced degree
3+ years' experience in the utilities/energy industry
Design thinking and/or customer-centric design knowledge or expertise
Experience engaging customers in product or program design
Experience with utility customer programs, including those that deliver energy efficiency, renewable energy, EV, or demand management engagement opportunities to customers across all residential and business customer segments

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $92,300.00 to $130,566.66 per year
